 The Cosmos Community Centre is a voluntary organisation established in 1971 to support community education and provide facilities for recreation, sport and leisure for people of all ages in St Andrews and the surrounding areas.

Serving the Community

Activities run in the Centre include:

  • Sewing classes for youngsters

  • Badminton

  • Stretch 'n Flex
  • Fitness and Dance Classes
  • Soccer for children
  • Lace Making
  • Kumon St Andrews Private Maths and English Tuition


We also work closely with Fife Council Community Education, and have a full-time Link Officer based at the Cosmos, responsible for a wide range of youth work activities.

New Details on Sewing Classes for Children
Sewing Club is a relaxed, creative and fun place where girls and boys aged 8+ can learn basic hand and machine sewing skills. Classes are currently held on Tuesday afternoons at 4-5pm for 8 - 11 yrs (£5 per class) and 5-6.30pm for age 11 + yrs (£7 per class.) Everything is provided from fabrics, threads, beads, ribbons and sewing machines to chocolate biscuits!
